How do you get a bikini body?
We've all thought about it and a lot of us have seen this pic.
When I think of it a little deeper though, this doesn't work for most people. It works in the sense that the bikini comes on and that's the bikini body done, however if that body never leaves the bathroom and goes to the beach, what good is that new bikini to you?
I would like to say it like this. If you put a bikini on and feel confident enough, and good about yourself getting in to the water without hiding, then you have a bikini body. I don't care what weight you are. I don't care what shape you are. I don't care about your six pack. I don't care about the size of your shorts.
If you feel good about sun baking and splashing around the water, playing with your kids in the sand then that is enough to have a bikini body.
I spent years of my life always wearing a t-shirt on the beach. I even convinced myself that it was for sun protection as my Swedish translucent skin would not cope. I was fooling myself.
It had nothing to do with that, I was just not confident enough to take it off, especially sitting down. I never tried on a bikini, however the same goes for men wearing shorts or boardies (no one should wear budgie smugglers), it's all about feeling good about yourself.
So again, if you are confident about your body and feel good about going out to the beach with your family and friends, it does not matter what anyone else thinks. If you do however avoid situations because you don't feel good, then you should do something about it.
I think no one should avoid amazing life important experiences because of the way they look, or feel about the way they look.. I did for so many years, avoided things that I shouldn't have avoided. The same goes for your fitness levels. If you say no to things that you really would like to do but you don't think you have the fitness to do it, it's time to do something about it.
Remember, you're beautiful whatever shape you are. Just don't be afraid to show it.
Fitness is non-negotiable. You have to do it for your health. Looking like a fitness model is not important however.
